Soulscraper combined samplers and audio loops played live with acoustic drums and aggressive punk influenced guitars. The sound was influenced by alternative, industrial, goth, punk, and dance music, combined with an Australian Pub Rock live music sensibility.
The Mockers were hugely successful in an early-mid 80s New Zealand, obsessed with then-current crop of British pop. The band initially formed in 1979 as The Ambitious Vegetables, with line-up of Gordon Costello, Andrew Fagan, Gary Curtis and Charlie Mannell who were all at Rongotai College together. Their original songs were written by Gordon Costello when he was aged approximately 10. Gary Curtis wrote many of their songs as well and continued on to write most of the music for The Mockers. Sadly it's one of the best, but sadly ignored records that came out of NZ.
Formed in Melbourne in 1990 and received some airplay on JJJ, before vocalist Caroline Kennedy moved onto form Deadstar
Born on 15 February 1934, the only child of Cyril and Mary Kennedy, Graham Cyril Kennedy was raised in the working class Melbourne suburb of Balaclava.

Girl Monstar should of been bigger than they were as each member of the group were more than proficient on her chosen instrument, could sing, and each had their own endearing personality. They outgrew the novelty all-girl tag which is bestowed upon girl groups and truly proved their worth as one hell of a rock n roll outfit. Releasing their debut album in 1992 titled Monstereo Delicio. before disbanding in early 1993. During their short career, the band acquired some prestigious support slots including The Ramones, Buzzcocks, D.A.D and Skid RowPersonnel

When rock & soul collide with opera & classical music you get THE SENSATIONAL JEFF DUFF ORCHESTRA! A nine piece ensemble performing original material written by Jeff and pianist Bill Risby, plus orchestral arrangements of classics such as 'Stairway to Heaven', 'Walk on the Wild Side' and beautiful interpretations of 'Puff the Magic Dragon' and 'MacArthur Park'.
First forming in 1979, playing a lot of covers in the pubs around Adelaide before folding in '84, and then getting back together in '86. The pub rock scene was quite healthy back then, and they were very popular. Almost Human actually hold the record for attracting the biggest crowd to the Bridgeway Hotel squeezing in 1800 people in for one gig! Unfortunately, the scene started to die out towards the end of the 80's, and they only put out this release - the EP 'Hold On'.
