OMG I'm AM famous... my big claim to almost but not quite and ultimately fleeting fame
when Wheatley picked our song
I got a letter from him explaining that "fun fun fun" would receive shitloads of airplay on MMM, the term that thrilled the most was "high rotation." A sexy publishing deal was in the works and an industry launch of the Pump was coming up at the Kardomah Cafe.
then, within a month
Wheatley went arse up when his empire crashed
he sold his majority shares in MMM
Now no-one at MMM owned the homegrown project and it fizzled after a dud of a launch night it faded into just a sad distant memory
till now
i'm thrilled nevertheless
